This morning, begin your exploration of Atlanta with a visit to the Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum. Here learn about the Battle of Atlanta, fought on July 22, 1864. As you sit in the center of this circular room, the story of this critical event in Atlanta's history is brought to life around you. Your seating platform will rotate slowly to follow along as the battle is played out on the 42 foot tall, 358 foot long Cyclorama painting, complete with brilliant narration, life-like sound effects and dramatic lighting. Before departing take a few minutes to view artifacts in the civil war museum. Next board the coach for the short drive to Underground Atlanta. This landmark, created in the 1920's when the Atlanta street system was elevated one level, is now the lively home to specialty shops, restaurants and nightlife. Enjoy free time here for a bite to eat on your own and pick up gifts for family and friends. This afternoon, visit the New World of Coca-Cola. This local favorite has a whole new personality! Watch a fully functioning bottling line produce commemorative bottles of Coca-Cola, experience 3 new theatre presentations, tour the world's largest collection of Coke memorabilia, and taste over 70 Coca-Cola products from around the world. This afternoon relax as the motorcoach returns to your hotel.

Today travel south to Jonesboro, Georgia, the Official Home of Gone with the Wind. In this epic novel, Jonesboro is home to Scarlett O'Hara's fictional Tara Plantation, which author Margaret Mitchell fashioned after many local homes. Begin your visit with a guided tour of the Road to Tara Museum, housed in the Jonesboro Historic Train Depot. Your costumed guide will bring the elaborate exhibits to life with behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the movie and its ties to the Jonesboro area. Then board the motorcoach for a guided tour of this history-filled town. Learn about the Battle of Jonesboro with commentary at the Confederate Cemetery and at Warren House, used during the battle as an amputation center. See the real-life inspirations for many of the homes in the book and movie, and make a stop at the intersection of Rhett Butler and Scarlett Drive. Then, visit Stately Oaks Plantation. Enjoy a guided tour of this 1839 home and outbuildings, all set under the beautiful southern oaks from which it takes its name. Savor a delicious included lunch here, served in the one room school house. Before leaving, take time to visit the plantation's Country Store and rock on the front porch. Return to the hotel with the spirit of the true South in your step! (Lunch Included)
